2011 Race Schedule
Feb. 19th – REV3 Costa Rica Olympic – C race – just want to enjoy my first international race and represent for Team Trakkers! I will be out there helping with the race on Sunday.
March 26th – National Marathon – B race – this one is going to be a little iffy since I was off from running for so long, but I’m going to dedicate myself to doing as well as I can and accept my results
May 19th – REV3 Knoxville HalfREV – A RACE – Last year I pr’d for the half distance and for the first time I felt like I ran the run for a half. This year I would like to knock another 10 min. off my time and really attack the bike while still running the run. (time goal is under 5:45)
June 12 – Great Chesapeake Bay Swim – B race – (this is a 4.4 mile open water swim) I am pretty much terrified of this swim (not because of the distance but because of the open water) so I am just looking to enjoy the training and strengthen my swim through lots and lots of miles of swim training.
September 11 – REV3 Cedar Point - A race – I am not sure yet which distance I will do for this race. I am about 85% sure I will do the Half distance because my hubby will be doing the full – but I don’t want to close the door on the idea of doing the full just yet. As the season progresses I’ll decide if I want to look for a new PR on the half distance or to get out there for another full.

Awesome plans. I want to do a open water swim race as well. Do you have a training plan?

I am writing my own OWS training plan – we’ll see if that works!!
