All About ME!

I have been married to my wonderful husband for the last 12 years.  Ten years ago I became a mom.  Seven years ago my only child turned into a big sister and our family was complete!  My daughter is 10, my son is 7, my life is full!

The family

I have been completing triathlons for the last 6 years.  I have been racing them for about three.  Believe me, there is a difference!  I have completed three Irondistance triathlons in the last three years.

Five years ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue.  I have been strictly gluten free ever since.  We recently put my son on a gluten free diet as well.

This year I was asked to join Team Trakkers

    Hi Kati!!
I just wanted to let you know i’m one of your teammates and (also a mom =0), but when talking to Carole she said that you are down at JMU!?? I went to JMU (graduated in 2000)!!!

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and it made me smile reading your twitter update a second ago and seeing “Massanutten…”…ahh, the memories!!!

Hope your training is off to a great start! Maybe we’ll run into one another with Trakkers!!!

    Take care,
    Mer!

    Hi Katie
I ran across your name on the JMU website. I will be new on the faculty this fall, moving to Harrisonburg from South Carolina with my husband. We have been triathletes (I’m a 4-time Ironman finisher) and cyclists for 15+ years and are hoping to connect with some good training when we move. I would love to talk at some point. We would also love to help in any way with the JMU triathlon team (particularly tagging along in workouts!)
I’ll be in Harrisonburg July 13-16 and then permanently beginning on the 30th. Email is debbiesturm@att.net.
    Thanks!

I ran across your website while looking for info on Rev 3 and was delighted to see another Ironman/camper/gluten free person. We have used our Winnebago as our race command post for 3 IMLPs and several 70.3s. My daughter was dx with celiac about 6 years ago so we bought the camper so we could take the kitchen with us when we travelled. I would love to be able to tell her about you! She is also a type 1 diabetic, so the guys from Team Type 1 are her heroes. Now you can be her hero too.

I will probably run across you in Maine next year. You cant miss us…we will be the ones in the old Winnebago! Good luck with all your travels.
